Chávez Calls Out Bush

Ah, and there is one more very important thing that Hugo Chávez said before concluding his nationally televised speech tonight:

"Y como sé y deben saberlo todos los venezolanos, esta batalla va mucho más allá de Venezuela, que la administración de EEUU está detrás de esos dirigentes de oposición y que el señor George Bush, es el verdadero instigador y planificador e impulsor de los movimientos que han arremetido contra nosotros, pues les digo que yo acepto el reto a nombre de la dignidad del pueblo venezolano".

Translated, that means:

"And as I know and the entire Venezuelan people should know, this battle goes far beyond Venezuela. The administration of the USA is behind these opposition leaders and Mr. George Bush is the true instigator, planner, and pusher behind the movements that have been launched against us. Thus, I tell you that I accept this challenge in the name of the dignity of the Venezuelan people."

Oh, and Narco News is tonight the first to report the date of this referendum:

August 15th.
