A big lie can't conceal a simple truth

A recent article in the El Paso Times provides this insight from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Department of Homeland Security agency that, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Juanita Fielden, sanctioned the continued participation of its informant in the House of Death mass murder machine after the first of a dozen murders came to light in Juarez, Mexico:

Asked to comment on the developments [in the House of Death case], ICE officials issued the following statement:

"ICE's Office of Professional Responsibility conducted a thorough investigation of the matter and presented its findings to appropriate officials within ICE.

"As a result of this investigation, ICE overhauled its guidelines on the use and handling of confidential informants -- tightening controls, oversight, responsibility and accountability in these processes. Furthermore, ICE took disciplinary actions against a number of ICE employees in connection with this situation. Pursuant to the Privacy Act, ICE is unable to provide additional information to the public on the specific personnel actions taken against these ICE employees.

"At this time, ICE's OPR considers the investigation into these matters closed."

There you have it. While one branch of our government (the Department of Justice) involved in the cover-up of the House of Death mass murder invokes national security to prevent further information on the U.S. government’s complicity in mass murder from surfacing, another branch, the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement, hides behind the “Privacy Act” and claims unilaterally “the investigation into these matters closed.”

Do you sense that they are tiring of the smell of death that exposes the truth in this case?

As the president of this United States of America said on the eve of another dark period in human rights:

The time for denying, deceiving, and delaying has come to an end.

Now, the time has come to hold all people of power to the meaning of their words, lest all words loose their meaning and the truth becomes a corpse buried in the vast sands of desolation.

Despite all that ICE and the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security might wish, the House of Death is not a closed-casket funeral, not in this democracy, not along this border — if we continue to demand that they tell the truth.
