Even Ekvall's Statement Discredits Rendón

Narco News reader Steven Hunt, today, flushed Eric Ekvall out on the opposition's Caracas Chronicles blog, in response to my report today.

Ekvall wrote:

Flail away all you like, Steven, and find ominous conspiracies (spawned, of course, by that inimitable conspiracy theorist and smear artist who runs Narco News) under every rock, but I have no idea who Randon is, and if you're referring to JJ Rendon, I'd never heard of him until this last week, and therefore have never met him, or worked with him or corresponded with him...

Given El Mundo's report that J.J. Rendón lies about his resume, this could actually be one of those rare moments in which Ekvall is telling the truth. Maybe he doesn't know him (although both claim to have been political consultants for disgraced and impeached embezzling president Carlos Andrés Pérez... as if anybody would admit that in 2004!).

One or the other is lying. You decide: Ekvall or Rendón?

I know, I know... that's a tough one!

They both could be lying, though. But they can't both be telling the truth.

I got more escualido mail today, from the junior son of a drug czar!, which I will post shortly.

They're all reading Narco News, and getting their panties all in a bunch!

¡Bienvenidos a todos!

Our Policy on Comment Submissions: Co-publishers of Narco News (which includes The Narcosphere and The Field) may post comments without moderation. All co-publishers comment under their real name, have contributed resources or volunteer labor to this project, have filled out this application and agreed to some simple guidelines about commenting.

Narco News has recently opened its comments section for submissions to moderated comments (that’s this box, here) by everybody else. More than 95 percent of all submitted comments are typically approved, because they are on-topic, coherent, don’t spread false claims or rumors, don’t gratuitously insult other commenters, and don’t engage in commerce, spam or otherwise hijack the thread. Narco News reserves the right to reject any comment for any reason, so, especially if you choose to comment anonymously, the burden is on you to make your comment interesting and relevant. That said, as you can see, hundreds of comments are approved each week here. Good luck in your comment submission!
