At the invitation from communities located throughout the U.S. and as part of their new International Campaign in Defense of El Barrio,
Movement for Justice in El Barrio will now tour California, Texas, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. The following is a tour schedule for events to be held in California.
FROM EAST HARLEM TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TOUR
Purpose of Tour: Concerned LA and Oxnard community members came together to organize this historic tour in order to address gentrification in Los Angeles and Oxnard, California. In order to bridge the gap between El Barrio and Southern California, dialogues will be held with communities in South LA, Boyle Heights, Echo Park, MacArthur Park, and Oxnard. Through this tour, Movement for Justice in El Barrio will share its vision and its efforts on local and international levels.
