a tactical document, but to what end?
Submitted on October 31st, 2009 by FreddyMoraca (not verified)this document is tactical and nonsubstantive. acuerdo 2 pretends that militant grassroots demand for a consulta will go away, whereas it was one of the main triggers for the coup. and acuerdo 3 pretends that mass demonstrations won't occur throughout the transition, and that massive repression won't be unleashed by the "professional, apolitical, obedient and non-deliberative" armed forces. (well, OK maybe as far as "no deliberante" is concerned, unless this term has some obscurely technical meaning different from "unthinking"...) so, given this absence of a basis in reality, who can prevent the breakdown of the "san jose" framework in the next month or two?
No justice, no peace.
Submitted on October 31st, 2009 by Mark E. Smith (not verified)The accord renounces the Constituent Assembly, so it is a a sellout by Zelaya and will not be accepted by the Honduran people.
Only a Constituent Assembly to adopt a new Constitution that vests power in the people rather than in the oligarchy, can establish justice and promote domestic tranquillity.
