Great journalism

Reading your first article on US Ambassador Llorens, I was taken in by the style: a sensitivity to the complex situation in a way that made me feel present at the meeting. Next comes the overheard conversation between the back packer and the hotel owner in Tegucigalpa: I'm intrigued by the situation and, again, I feel present, in a strange way. Your writing reminded me of an article by Franz Kafka, reporting on an air race in Italy: there was a sense of dust and an appreciation for the multitude of those who came to cheer on the Italian pilot. The crowd passionately cried at the true to life bad luck and set backs of their hero, while total boredom prevailed on the uneventful, machine like regularity of the monotonous circling of the faultless flight of the winning airplane --provided by the Wright Brothers. Your articles catch a rare spontaneity that brings blossoms to that dull orchard of standard journalism. Thank you.
