San Pedro Sula

I applaud your effort. Even out here with the diaspora Hondureno it is really hard to get through to people. With the self centered greed and apathy it is hard for them to understand this. This is going to take time. As Al says the show in the media diverts attention from the real issues. Keep on talking. I used to show slide shows of the war in Vietnam which I copied out of the library to anybody who would listen. Eventually an idea repeated can be understood, or at least accepted. I was shocked from day 1 on the reaction of people in the US that somehow Honduras deserved this. It will be on their own doorstep very soon in one way or another. Look at Hawaii, they, the Native Hawaiians don't even want to be a state anymore. The ship is sinking.

Avanti!

AMEN

Listening to the aspirations of the Honduran People

David Maxted's reporting reflects exactly what the average people of the world need to know about the struggle of the Honduran people to reclaim their sovereign tranquility from corrupt oligarchs and their foreign corporate facilitators. As Mr. Maxted has realized from meeting the citizens "on the ground", these people are not socialists in the common sense of the term, they are merely people who desire to have a government that represents their interests in equal liberty and justice for all, and a better future for their children's health, education, and welfare.

You have put it so well.

You have put it so well. Just now I met two members of the diaspora who delighted in mocking Pres. Chavez tonight. The polarized media has really convinced people and perpetrated their ignorance. They got out of poverty, bought houses in the US and at home so now prefer to leave their homeland in poverty and ignorance. Perhaps that is the real  problem. Even though everything they gained was basicaly stolen they feel they have the right to call the shots for those they have forsaken and tell the US a bunch of lies. Keep up the good work everybody!
