Reporter's Notebook: Alex Satanovsky

Make a documentary of the recall!

Wow, it has indeed been an amazing 36 hours I must say.

36 hours ago, Venezuelans started getting out to the  polls, waiting in line to cast their votes.

The media struck out bigtime today.  Strike one was the April coup d'etat, strike two was the lockout, strike three is the recall referendum.

There needs to be a good documentary that gets into the mind of the opposition and their Commercial Media accomplists.  Perhaps a whole documentary on the media's role in the Venezuelan crisis, with the three case studies I've mentioned before.

How's that for an idea?

About Alex Satanovsky

Biography
I am finishing my undergraduate studies in Political Science and Sociology at the University of Michigan. I've been fascinated with Latin American movements ever since the fascist coup in Venezuela (2002), and along with my long standing view of the repugnant commercial media, I've shaped my studies accordingly over the years.

Comments

what says the Venezuelan commercial media?

I can't wait for the documentary, I need to know one thing now from our correspondents in Venezuela, if any monitored this...

What were the commercial media in Venezuela, especially television, saying during the referendum election?  What are they saying now?

I want to know what propaganda in the face of facts looks like.
