New State Dept. "Transition Coordinator" for Cuba

Hot off Jeb Bushs press release list.. the gall of these guys never ceases to....reaffirm my feelings.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THURSDAY, JULY 28, 2005

Statement By:   GOVERNOR JEB BUSH

Regarding Transition Coordinator for Cuba

TALLAHASSEE - “I applaud the President and his administration for its continued commitment to prepare for the day when Cuba joins the 34 democratic nations in the Western Hemisphere. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s comments today demonstrate an abiding commitment to a free Cuba and to the Cuban people who remain oppressed under Castro’s tyranny.

“As the home for the largest number of Cubans and Cuban-Americans in the United States, Florida has an interest in ensuring Cuba has a prompt end to despotism and a successful transition to democracy. Florida will continue to support President Bush and his administration as we proactively prepare for a post-Castro Cuba. I believe today’s announcement of Mr. Caleb McCarry, as Transition Coordinator will inject new vigor into our fight for a free Cuba.

“I stand with the President, Secretary Rice and the hundreds of thousands of Cubans and Cuban-Americans living in Florida looking forward to a Cuba free from Castro and his oppression.”

All co-publishers comment under their real name, have contributed resources or volunteer labor to this project, have filled out this application and agreed to some simple guidelines about commenting.

Narco News has recently opened its comments section for submissions to moderated comments (that’s this box, here) by everybody else. More than 95 percent of all submitted comments are typically approved, because they are on-topic, coherent, don’t spread false claims or rumors, don’t gratuitously insult other commenters, and don’t engage in commerce, spam or otherwise hijack the thread. Narco News reserves the right to reject any comment for any reason, so, especially if you choose to comment anonymously, the burden is on you to make your comment interesting and relevant. That said, as you can see, hundreds of comments are approved each week here. Good luck in your comment submission!
