Obama tells Catholics that they’re nice folks, and wrong on abortion--but not on drugs.

Obama made his controversial speech today at Notre Dame, the renouned Catholic University. Dozens of people had been arrested just prior to the event, and it was almost guaranteed to go smooth. One guy did scream during Obama's speech but was quickly neutralized... You could hear his faint "Don't taze me bro..." as he was dragged away kicking and screaming. Obama was all smiles and giggles. He told the crowd that they were nice to give him an award--"That  was more that could be said for Arizona State!," he complained. He was "1 for 2," he added. To sum up his pro-choice argument, he basically stated that you can't just ban something that is wrong and immoral and pretend that tactic of "just say no" will actually reduce the practice of said immoral and evil act. That there were a host of issues that could not so simply be reduced to a "black and white" sort of attitude about it. The world was actually grey. Too bad the same logic doesn't apply when it comes to taking mind-altering recreational drugs, for example--unless it's alcohol, of course. Be that as it may, Obama was cordial and pleasant enough to boost the Catholic University's ratings in the world of Academia. Abortion was not going to be banned any time soon, so he was safe in that his position at least was within legal boundaries, and dissenters had for the most part been silenced--reminiscent of Bush's staged appearances. Only difference is this time censorship seemed justified and politically correct
