Dick Cheney Keeps Pretending Obama Is Not A Warrior

Let's recap what's occurred. First Dick Cheney was accusing Obama of 'dithering' because he wasn't sending the extra troops to Afghanistan in a hurry, using every conservative and reactionary outlet at his disposal. Then (surprise!) we had the Fort Hood shooting by Major Malik Hasan, mowing down 12 fellow soldiers. Obama then had no choice but to order 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan (or it would have looked like he didn't care about terror, thereby giving Cheney's narrative some credence).

Around the same time as all of this, Obama receives the Nobel Peace Prize and gives a speech in which he states that War is necessary and will be for the rest of our lives, and armed conflict will never end, ever—or words to that effect. Shortly thereafter, Chavez mockingly calls Obama 'the Nobel War Prize' (ie: ''el premio nobel de la guerra''), and says that he smells of sulfur, just like Bush.

Keep in mind also that Obama has basically supported the military coup in Honduras, so that makes him no different than his predecessors in regards to South American policy, at first sight at any rate. There could be a difference in the approach and the tone in dealing with them, but actions speak louder than words. Not to mention that our drug policy is getting a lot of Mexicans killed. (But who cares—we're subhuman, right?) As an aside, there are reported similar events going on in Iran, with a lot of repression and killings of dissenters and protesters. Again, I have not heard a condemnation from Obama. Perhaps one is forthcoming or I missed it. (but I digress...)

Then, Christmas rolls around and they have another terror attack, this time a plane headed for Detroit, but the terrorist is unable to successfully detonate the explosives in his underwear. (Why actually blow up the plane when you can achieve the same effect with merely staging the event and having the artifact fail!?)... So what is that being used to justify... (Are you noticing a pattern?) Answer: More escalation, sounds like they're going after Yemen next. See, it's not like you have to call it ''War on Terra'' to be able to go into any country you like. You can call it Easter if you want... all you need is that Al-Qaeda connection, I guess. (Surprise: Obama has confirmed links with both Al-Qaeda and Yemen).

So what happened once again either right before (eg: as with Hasan) or right after (eg: Xmas) the terrorist attack? Answer: Cheney taking advantage to send his hatred and his lies about Obama being weak and not being engaged in the 'war on terror'. There's never been anyone more engaged, but Cheney has to sit there and pretend that Obama is not a warrior. Because it helps his agenda and his bottom line: his pocket, if you know what I mean... They're all war criminals, let's face it.
