IS THIS TRUE?
Venezuela may suspend oil shipments to US

CARACAS, July 21 (Xinhuanet) -- The Venezuelan government said Wednesday it may suspend oil shipments to the United States in case of an eventual conflict with that country.
"In case of an aggression, that option would be considered," said Energy and Mining Minister Rafael Martinez in an interview released Wednesday through US news-broadcast system in Spanish CNN.
He added the suspension of oil supply is his country's right.
The impasse between Venezuela and the United States began late last February after Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez accused his US counterpart George W. Bush of financing the opposition's plot against his government.
In addition, Chavez believed the United States was behind the coup in 2002, which briefly ousted him from office. Two days later,he returned to the presidency.
Such denunciations have been denied by the United States, the principal purchaser of Venezuelan oil. Venezuela is the world's fifth largest oil exporter.
In the run-up to the Aug. 15 recall referendum, Chavez increased his attacks on Washington, saying Bush, not the Venezuelan opposition, was his true political foe.
According to surveys, the oil-rich country is almost evenly divided between those who would oust Chavez and those who would have him to stay on as president.

Len,
Chávez threatening Bush to stop oil supplies, yes, Len, it is true.
However, under the main premise that currently the US Government is again openly supporting the "Opposition" here to stage a coup d´etat.
At the moment the situation is very tense, in fact, there seems to be a conspiracy of Sumaté and the telephone company CANTV to commit electronic fraud on the day of the elections.
The "Opposition" never was interested in elections or referenda, it was and still is organizing a military golpe. Of course, as the ex-president CAP has stated, on the top of the Plan B list is permanent assassination attempts of Chávez and other prominent political figures. This is really the great danger, the question of how to stop the infiltrated mercenaries into the country. Of course, the CIA and the US Government have their fingers in this criminal pie. That is why Chávez energetically warned Bush a week ago.
Furthermore, if ever it should come to a referendum within two weeks, for sure Chávez will win with an overwhelming majority, with more than 60% of the votes, however, all sorts of campaigns are being organized surrepticiously to sabotage the recall referendum, causing black-outs, blowing up electricity lines, blocking telephone lines and internet connections, etc. Hence a tough time awaits us.
However, the population is highly politicized, especially the Bolivarian youth, as never before, and perhaps more than in any other country in the world. Of course, this also spells doom, because both ways, no matter which side wins, it will bring severe social unrest and open violence.
Similarly, no matter who wins the US presidential elections, Bush or Kerry, fundamentally, the situation of Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia or Latin America will not change. The global "new wars", the "axis of evil" will move southwards. This the conscious Venezuelans know, no matter how Theresa Heinz tries to catch them up with African origins, or with anti-Apartheid demonstrations in Johannesburg. Her elitesque class adherence tells the real story.
Precisely because of the electronic sabotage, our telephone calls coming from the USA are being blocked by CANTV; here in Mérida, it will be very difficult to organize an interview with you.
However, as far as it will be possible, we will inform you regularly about the brewing situation, also by means of our News Bulletin.
Best regards,
Franz.
