MO Senator Claire McCaskill's HC Forum Cancelled

Here in the St. Louis area, my Senator and my Congressman, Claire McCaskill and Russ Carnahan have had their Town Hall Meetings disrupted and cancelled because of violence and fear.

I called Carnahan's office the day of the event, to thank him for his support of HC/HI reform and my need for a Public Option.  After inquiring about the event at an area Middle School, his aide told me that the event was not a public event, but was about Senior and Disabled Medical issues and that the event had been planned for weeks in advance, with SEIU, the Union that represents mostly women who give in-home care to Seniors and Disabled for a living.

I said, "I hope he's ready for the Teabaggers."

The video footage of

The video footage of hecklers disrupting Senator McCaskill is more evidence (if any more was needed) that the intent of the hecklers is not to "protest" (which would require an excahnge of ideas), but to disrupt.  They made it obvious that they had no idea in hearing her talk, much less voicing their concerns in a descriptive, intelligent manner.  So much for democracy.
