Open Letter to U.S. Senators Barack Obama and John McCain: DHS-ICE

If elected our next President of this great country of ours, what steps would you take to remove the “cancerous tumors” at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement, (ICE) Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and other DHS’ agencies?  Of course, we tax-payers know that incidents of corruption, mismanagement, waste, fraud and abuse are not isolated to only one particular agency. However, under the banner of fighting “terrorism” and “illegal immigration” under our “national security” our U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights have been radically “trashed” by our “Imperial Lords” president George W. Bush and Michael Chertoff.

ICE management apparently has “carte blanch” to bully and go after any federal employee who files any type of complaints, and against any news reporter who writes about ICE’s corruption.

We, American Citizens and the United States are the laughing-stock of people from all over the world because of the existing “good-old boy system” and corruption that permeates our U.S. government.

As Commander-in-Chief of the United States what are you going to do to give us back our Constitutional Bill of Rights?  What are you going to do to stop the misuse of tax-payers monies to fund questionable appropriations of monies in support of alleged “DHS and ICE Enforcement Initiatives”?

Why the U.S. government is funding (with tax paye's monies) two similar enforcement initiatives to investigate domestic and international criminal organizations such as ICE's Operation Armas Cruzadas and ATF's Project Gunrunner.

Why are you going to have a DHS Attache (who is an ICE employee) and an ICE Attache assigned to the U.S. Embassy with the same enforcement and public relations initiatives.

What are you going to do to stop the unlawful and despicable acts of racial profiling?  Too many U.S. Citizens are being illegally searched and arrested by ICE, CBP, state and local law enforcement agencies who have been given federal immigration authority to enforce our federal laws, assuming that the U.S. Citizen is an illegal alien?

Now, walking, driving, flying, and navigating while black or brown apparently is a crime or at least, a reason for the above mentioned agencies to enforce our federal immigration laws.  Numerous class action lawsuits are being filed against the above agencies for violating our constitutional rights.  At the end, we the tax-payers end-up paying for all of the misdeeds our supposed to be “protectors” are doing.

We are tired of reading and hearing that DHS, ICE, CBP and other agencies are doing the “best” to protect us from future terrorist attacks.  But who is going to protect us from our government law enforcers?

If elected U.S. President, you need to tell us before we go to the polls, what you are going to do to fix and remove this cancerous tumor at DHS, ICE, CBP, et al.  According to a high placed source at the DHS’ Office of Inspector General, currently a very high percentage of mid-and-high level ICE managers and supervisors ought to be either in prison or removed (fired) from their positions due to their official misconducts.

Now, it is up to you to change this.  Please, we don’t need any more lip services.  I know that this news story will create some disturbance at DHS and ICE.  In fact, ICE will try to retaliate against this author by doing what they know to do best: engage in criminal activity with impunity and/or at least bully me.  Unfortunately, where I live, I am surrounded by ICE, CBP, FBI, DEA special agents. Guess I have to watch my back.    After all, I am a former (retired) ICE and legacy US Customs special agent who was a Resident Agent in Charge for the Legacy Customs’ Office of Internal Affairs attempted to enforce our Code of Conduct of Ethics within my agency, but unfortunately by investigating our corrupt “big bosses” it caused me a great deal of pain and suffering at the hands of a corrupt agency that instead of punishing the wrongdoer, decided to punish the messenger.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you luck in your desire to become our next U.S. President and hope that once you take office, you will do the honorable thing:  remove the described “cancerous tumor” and its many “cancerous cells.”
