Readers that have donated to the project and writers that have had a story published here can become "copublishers" giving you unmoderated commenting abilities on all our stories. There are 436 copublishers so far. All use their real names when commenting. The application is simple and it is here.

Hi Al, I've enjoyed your unique insight and independent thinking since the Iowa primary. And the education I've received has been well worth my paltry contributions. So I'll mail another $100 but since I forgot about the tax deduction I will also send one third of my previous 2008 contributions. You may as well have the deduction money since I forgot about it anyway. (Please see my email.)

Jeff's aggregate contributions adding up to more than $200 for the year make him a bona fide fat cat.

But I'll still edge him out for that Illinois Senate seat. I've bid something Blagojevich is really going to need as currency in his new home: cigarettes!

I've noticed some blogosphere Chicken-Littling on two topics: 1) the Blagojeivch mess will damage Obama, and 2) Sen. Specter's call for a delay in Eric Holder's confirmation hearings will damage Obama. Will you be weighing in on either of these?

Winter white everywhere!  Yesterday morning I wore a pair of shorts and a tee shirt to wash the car.  It's was just that warm.  Day before yesterday, I opened the windows because it was so warm and humid.  Tonight . . . my neighbors are throwing snowballs.  This happens about every 30 years.  Nice.

I'm not a Field Hand and don't feel confident or skilled in hands on participation in actions such as the mortgage foreclosures, but I can pitch in financially now and then. Your teachings have been priceless.  It's a joy to be a small part of this lovely group. 

 Would contribute more, but I'm saving my money for that Senate seat. He! He!  Seriously, the Field is my first read every day and no other blog has such informative comments.
